Koadee the Beast

Years ago, in the mountains of Lake Tahoe, there was a girl. A girl who seemed normal at first look, but had a twisted mind. She had a secret, a gory secret that took place hidden in the trees. The pained cries of animals rang in her ears as she trapped and abused the small mammals of the snow.

This daily ritual had gone on for years without anyone noticing. But one day, nature struck back.

The girl was hunted down by the animals of the snow. Bitten, scratched, clawed, and torn to pieces. Her eye had been torn out and stolen by a raccoon, bone showed in the deep gashes from the wolves. Her lifeless body left out in the snow to rot.

Night came and the spirits of the forest cursed her ghost, trapping her to roam the Earth in a beastly form. She was to protect the animals and do as they said for the rest of eternity. Months passed without incident, but the girl had soon come to take advantage of her powers.

She hunted down the innocent, stalked them and waited until they were alone. She would grin a sick and twisted smile. And in the silence of the night, she'd brutally murder her victim, their screams alerting neighbors and family. As the police surrounded the house, the girl would be nowhere seen.

Years later, and after many deaths and trips into the forest.... The myth was officially born and let out into the public and named. It was then that Koadee the Beast was revealed.

~(Now)~

The half-moon lit up the night sky, shining its dim light down on the woods below. The teenage boy who was unlucky enough to be dared to come into 'Slender Wood's' ran for his life. Loud snarling and growling erupted from behind him. He panted and forced himself to run faster.

He turned sharply and disappeared behind a cluster of old, abandoned trucks and trailers. Koadee shrieked angrily, her fangs jutting out of her mouth at awkward angles and hindering her speech. She stumbled around on all fours, searching for the boy frantically. Why had she targeted this unfortunate boy? Because his shirt was green. Nothing more and nothing less.

Koadee jumped up onto her feet in surprise as a scream rang through the air. It was cut off just as suddenly as it appeared, leaving Koadee in stunned silence. She lowered herself down onto all fours again and moved quickly to find her target. She rounds a large trailer and stops as she spots her target ripped apart and obviously dead.

She growled loudly in annoyance and sat down. She traveled miles to get away from her home town to find a bigger space with more targets and she unknowingly ended up in 'Slender Woods'. Ever since she had gotten her, all her victims had died before she could reach them, and she didn't understand why. She never saw anyone else in these woods.

This was the 4th time this week this had happened and she was getting fed up with it. This was the longest she'd gone without killing anyone. She felt antsy just thinking about it.

She stood up slowly and sucked in a breath of air. Not a single human scent for miles. Koadee was even more fed up she couldn't go into the city, mostly because she never got to target anyone during the day. That was her only restraint from the animal spirits. She wasn't allowed outside the woods without a reason.

Koadee trudged back into the denser area of the woods and settled herself in her small clearing to wait for another target. She hoped that one would come before sunrise.

A mere 10 feet away, a tall and lanky man in a suit lurked about. He observed Koadee with mild interest. He wondered to himself what the hell she was and what she was doing his forest. He was the only living being allowed inside this forest, and this girl had been here for weeks.

He would've killed her earlier, but she could never be found during the day and at night, he was too busy making sure she didn't kill any of the dumb humans that decided to venture into his woods. That was his job. And now that she was just sitting there, now was his time to strike.

The man's tendrils spread out, hovering ominously in the air. They were ready to strike. Koadee yawned obnoxiously loud and scratched her head with her foot. The man got a little bit closer before posing his tendrils to strike and rip the girl apart. She would regret the day she stepped foot inside these woods.
The first part to a little fanfiction I decided to write. Koadee is my own little OC.
